What is this passport template used for?

This passport example helps designers, developers, and training teams create lifelike travel documents for KYC demos, border-control simulations, app onboarding flows, QA testing, and internal compliance training—without using real personal data.

Which formats are included?

You’ll receive one production-ready file:

• PSD — fully layered, 300 DPI, organized groups (photo, text, security), compatible with Adobe Photoshop

How realistic is the layout?

After we tested it in practice, we refined the design to match real ICAO-compliant passports: biometric chip symbol, machine-readable zone (MRZ), photo with drop shadow, signature line, issuing authority, document number field, and security background (fine-line guilloché, microtext placeholders, UV element zones).

What layers can you edit?

• Photo (smart object — double-click to insert any headshot)
• Full name, nationality, date of birth, place of birth
• Passport number, issue/expiry dates, authority
• MRZ (editable text — no locked OCR fields)
• Signature line, chip icon, and hologram placeholder
• Background pattern group (toggle or replace easily)

Is it suitable for travel or KYC verification demos?

Yes—teams use these to simulate passport upload, MRZ parsing, liveness checks, or border-agent training—strictly for internal testing, demos, and system validation.

How was the template improved over time?

Early users struggled with nested layer groups. Now every PSD uses flat, top-level sections (“Photo”, “MRZ”, “Data”, “Security”) and includes a non-printing “Instructions” layer—reducing setup time to under 4 minutes.

Do I need Photoshop?

Full editing (smart objects, blend modes) requires Adobe Photoshop. Basic swaps can be done in Photopea (free browser-based editor), though some effects may flatten.
